Luke:
“Maaaaaaaaam!” You hear your seven year old, Alexis shout. “In the kitchen, love,” You yell back as you continue to make lunch. “Can I ask you something?” She asks, walking into the kitchen.
“Sure, you can ask me anything,” You tell her. “Where do babies come from?” The question gets you frozen in your tracks as you turn to face your daughter.
“What?” You asked her, hoping that you didn’t hear her properly. “Where do babies come from?” She repeats again just as Luke comes down the stairs. “Hey Lex, [Name]! Lunch ready yet?” Luke asks.
“Um, no. It’s nearly done, why don’t you answer Lexis’ question while I’m finishing,” You suggest, glad that Luke came down when he did. “Okay,” Luke turns to your daughter. “Where do babies come from?” Alexis repeats for the third time and Lukes’ eyes widen.
Luke looks back at you to ask you to answer but you quickly cut him off. “Lunch is ready, I’ll serve it in a minute! I need to…go text my sister something!” You tell him before rushing up the stairs.
“Why do you want to know?!” Luke asks your daughter. “When I was at uncle Calums’ house, he said that [Cals’ girlfriend] is pregnant and I asked him where babies come from and he said he couldn’t tell me because you and mam would slaughter him,” Alexis replies.
“Damn straight I would,” Luke mutters under his breath. “Lex, you’re a bit too young to know now but mam tell you when you’re older!” Luke smiles at your daughter. “Really?” Your daughter mirrors his smile. “Sure, why not”
Ashton:
“Maam! Katie stole my phone!” Your fourteen year old son, Mack shouts. “Katie, give your brother back his phone,” You said sternly as the two enter the kitchen.
Katie pouts and gives her brother back his phone,“ I want one!” “You’re only four Katie, when you’re older mammy and daddy will buy you a phone,” You assure your four year old daughter.
“It’s not fair, I’m the youngest!” Katie pouts. “Ask mam and dad for another baby then,"Mack says, playing on his phone. "What baby?” Your husband Ashton asks, walking into the kitchen.
“Katie doesn’t want to be the youngest,” Mack explains. “Mammy, how are babies made?” Katie asks and you and Ashton look at each other, neither wanting to tell their four year old daughter
“Sex,” Mack replies. Ashton smacks Mack on the back of the head,“ Don’t tell your sister that!” “So if I want a baby I have to sex?” Katie asks, innocently.
“Katie, hun. You’re too young to have a baby,” You say. “But when I’m older, do I have to sex to have a baby like you mammy?” Katie asks. “Yes,” Mack replies. “Mack!”
Michael:
“Mammy! I’m home from school!” Your five year old, Jake runs into the kitchen to find you. You turn around and bend down to hug your child. “Jakey! How was school?” You ask.
“It was great but guess what I heard mammy!” Jake said as Michael walked in with a sheepish smile. “What did you hear, Jakey?” You asked him.
“Daddy says that you’re going to give me a brother or sister!” Jake told you excitedly. “He did..huh?” You raise an eyebrow at Michael who just rubs the back of neck.
“Mammy, can I ask you something?” Jake asked you. You tear your gaze away from Michael and focused on your son. “Yes?” You ask. "Where do babies come from?“ Jake asks innocently and your jaw dropped as you looked at Michael.
Michael lifts Jake into his arms. "Well, little man. You see when a man and woman loves each other..” Michael trailed off. “Like you and mammy?” Jake asks and Michael nods.
“Like me and mummy,” Michael smiles at you and you smile back. “We, um..” Michael thought,“ We ask Santa!” You mentally facepalmed.
“So..does that mean we have to wait until Christmas for my brother or sister?” Jake frowns. “Jake, why don’t you go change your clothes and we can go to see your uncles,” You told your son.
“Yay! Okay!” Michael puts Jake down and he runs up the stairs. “I’m going to give Jake a new sibling, huh?” You ask Michael who turns back at you.
“Come on, baby,” Michael winks and wraps his arm around your waist to pull you closer,“ No harm done with another kid” And with that he pulls you in for a kiss.
You wrap your arms around his neck as he pushes you against the sink. You both hear a shout as footsteps run into the kitchen. “Daddy! Don’t eat Mummys’ face!” Jake shouts as you two pull away, blushing furiously.
Calum:
“Daddy?” Little six year old Coby Hood runs over to his dad. “Yeah kiddo?” Calum says as he picks Coby up.
“Can I have a brother?!” Coby says. Calum smirks,“ You’ll have to ask your mother” “Mam! Can I have a brother? I’ll pay!” Coby runs over to you while you blush and laugh.
“Coby, you can’t buy baby brothers,” You say as you go to the laundry room. “Daad!” Coby pouted. Calum laughed and ruffled Coby’s hair.
“Don’t worry son, I’ll make sure you get your baby brother. Just don’t be scared at night. Listen to music, okay?” Calum said and Coby grinned.
“Thanks dad!” Coby said before running off. He stops at the door and turns over to his dad. “By the way daddy,” Coby says. “Hm?” Jack asks, drinking his coffee.
“Where do babies come from?” Coby asks causing Calum to spit out his coffee. “Um, you see..” Jack mumbled. You come in before anything else is said, “Coby it’s time to take a bath”
“Noo!” Coby shouts before running off. Calum sighs in relief that he didn’t have to tell his son.
A/N: ‘Mam’ bc I’m Irish and we pronounce it this way. Requests are open.
