Semi-hiatus because problems.
Calum:
“Calum?” [Name] answered, “Aren’t you supposed to be asleep? It’s like four in the morning there..” It was silent for a few minutes and she slowly grew worried. If it weren’t for the silence, she wouldn’t have heard the the quiet sobbing from the other line.
“Cal? Baby, what’s wrong?” [Name] asked him. It was rare of Calum to be crying. “[Name].. I need you,” Calum’s voice cracked at the end before more sobs were heard, “I m-miss you. I miss you so much [Name]”
Her heart broke at the sound of him crying, she just wanted to hold him in her arms and tell him. “Calum please don’t cry anymore,” [Name] whispered to him, “I’m going to buy a plane ticket, okay? I’m going to come and see you. I miss you a lot as well so please don’t cry anymore”
Ashton:
Heart wrenching sobs echoed throughout the hotel room, Ashton was resting his back against the wall as the tears escaped his eyes. “Ashton?” The door opened, the voice was masculine. “Mate, what’s wrong?” Calum asked, rushing to his best friend once he saw him on the ground crying.
Ashton told him about the incident that occurred earlier, trying his best not to let the sobs escape his lips as he tried his best to tell Calum. [Name] and Ashton had a huge fight due to Ashton apparently flirting with other girls whilst they were on a date.
One thing led to another and the couple broke up. Hurtful words were thrown back and forth until [Name] couldn’t take it. Now, she was currently staying in another hotel, searching for a plane ticket to go back home.
“Ash, it’s okay. You’ll be alright,” Calum tried to comfort him. Ashton shook his head, “I won’t be alright. I lost the best thing that ever happened to me. I love her so much. I was so stupid and now she’s gone” “Ashton, if you love her so much then go fight for her. Tell her you want her back,” Calum told him. This caused more tears to trickle down Ashton’s face, “She’s never going to take me back”
Michael:
“Michael?” Luke knocked on the door to the boy’s house, getting no response. The boys were outside, waiting for him to answer until Calum remembered that Michael had a spare key hidden underneath his mat.
Calum opeend the door and that was when they heard glass shattering upstairs. The three boys rushed up to Michael’s room to see shattered bottles of alcohol and a drunk Michael lying in bed.
“Mike, how much have you been drinking?” Ashton asked, trying to get to the boy without touching the broken glass. “Not enough,” Michael muttered, reaching for another bottle beside his bed. Ashton quickly reached out and took the bottle before he had a chance to drink it.
“What happened?” Luke asked. Michael let out a bitter chuckle, “She dumped me. She couldn’t handle the hate so she left” A tear fell down his cheek as his eyes clouded with pain. “I love her so much. I need her, I don’t want her to leave my life”
Luke:
“Hello?” [Name] answered without reading the caller ID. “[Name]!” Michae’s voice was heard and she was about to hang up when he continued, “[Name] before you hang up, please just listen first. Luke still loves you a lot. He’s a mess and he won’t leave his bed”
“Mich-” [Name] tried to interrupt him but he wasn’t having any of it. “He just keeps saying that he needs you and he loves you. [Name] can you please come over and talk to him. You’re the only one who can fix him. We’re all really worried about him”
Michael took a deep breath before waiting for [Name]’s answer. What was he going to do if she refused? He hated seeing his best friend so..broken. It was only when he heard the girl’s reply did he let out a sigh in relief. “I’ll be there in a few minutes”

A/N: Okay so as you know, I used to write preferences and then I stopped but I’m going to be writing again soon. I’ve other stories to write as well so I’ll try and write a new preference every time I get a chance to. Also I found it more comfortable to be writing in 3rd person unless you want me to change to 2nd person again.

Michael:
“…look at them,” Michael groaned into his hands. You merely ignored him as his mother and yourself continued to look through his baby photos. “You were such an adorable baby, Michael,” You cooed.
“I’ve a few more albums upstairs if you’d like to look at them,” Michaels’ mam told you and you nodded eagerly, grinning as Michael groaned even louder. “No, mam! No more pictures. Please,” Michael begged. “Oh alright. We can just skip to the videos instead!”
Calum:
“….ignore me,” Calum pouted, trying to get you to talk. The two of you were supposed to go on a date the night before but Calum had blown you off, leaving you waiting for two hours at the restaurant.
You were about to walk away when he grabbed your waist and pulled you into him,“Please please please talk to me [Name], I’m so sorry for forgetting, we had a long day and it just slipped my mind! We can do whatever you want for the whole day today, I promise just please don’t give me the silent treatment anymore!”

“….forget me,” You whispered into Ashtons’ chest.Tomorrow, Ashton would be leaving for tour and the two of you just decided to stay at home and cuddle for the rest of the day, wanting nothing more than to be in each others’ arms.“How could I forget you, [Name]?” Ashton asked.
“You’re leaving tomorrow for 8 months. What if you fall out of love and you forget about me an-” “[Name],” Ashton interrupted you,“I could never forget you. I think about you all the time. You’re the only one for me, I don’t think I could ever fall out of love with someone as perfect as you”

Ashton:
After a few dates with Ashton, you told him that you were a single mother. You thought that he would run for the hills, just like every other guy you told but he stayed. After a while, he wanted to meet your child and when he did, the two instantly bonded. Soon enough, Ashton became a father figure for your child and you were glad because you hoped that Ashton would be around for a long time.
Luke:
Luke was nervous meeting your child for the first time. He wanted to make a good impression as he wanted to be in yours and your daughters’ life. When he met your child, all his worries were washed away and he was delighted when your daughter had asked when Luke would be coming back to play with her.
Michael:
Michael had started to become a father figure for your son and he was always delighted when he heard that Michael was coming. Your son would always play cars with Michael and Michael would teach your son how to play video games. You thought that your son had scared Michael off when he called Michael ‘daddy’ but he couldn’t seem to get the grin off his face.
Calum:
At first, your daughter didn’t like Calum because he wasn’t her real father. She wanted you and her real father to get back together but you knew that would never happen. But she decided him a chance once she realised that you really liked Calum and eventually the two became quite close. She was ecstatic when she found out that the two of you would be getting married.
Luke:
“I’ll never leave you,” He told you, with what you had thought was honesty in his eyes at that time. But now he was gone. The memories of the two of you were long forgotten. Everyone that entered your life would leave eventually and you thought was different, that he would stay. But you were wrong. In the end, he was just like the others.
Ashton:
“You’re the one I’m gonna spend the rest of my life with" You thought that he was the one that you’d stay with for the rest of your life. You thought the two of you had something special but you were wrong. You thought that you were the only girl he loved but apparently not since right now, he was spending his time with another girl.
Calum:
"I love you” You were ecstatic when you heard those words from his lips. You loved him a lot and you were glad that he felt the same. Or at least you thought so. Seeing him now, kissing another woman, you realised that he didn’t mean it. You knew now that when he told you that he loved you, he was lying. In the end, he was just like the others, a liar.
Michael:
“T’m not seeing someone else, I swear” You knew the words that came out of his words meant nothing. You couldn’t find one bit of honesty in his eyes. You were done with his crap. That other girl in his eyes obviously had something that you didn’t and because of that, he will never be only yours. Not anymore.
Luke: Age - 6
“Why are you crying?” A boy asked you. You were hiding underneath a slide in the park, crying because you couldn’t find your mother.
“I can’t find my mammy,” You cried, tears falling down your cheeks. “Don’t cry, my name is Luke. I’m going to help you find your mammy okay?” The boy told you.
You nodded, wiping your tears as he helped you up. “What’s your name?” Luke asked you and you told him your name. Luke brought you to his own mother and the two helped you find yours.
Eventually, you did find your mother. “Thank you for finding [Name], I was so worried,” Your mother thanked Liz,“[Name], aren’t you going to thank them?"
"Thank you,” You smiled at Luke and his mother before hugging Luke. “You’re welcome. Can we play together next time I see you?” He asked and you nodded. Your mothers got each others’ phone numbers and set up a play date for the two of you.
The two of you became inseparable after that and you would always remember the day you two met.
Michael: Age - 14
“Ow ow ow,” He winced as you cleaned up the cuts on his face. You huffed,“Maybe if you didn’t get into a fight with that guy, you wouldn’t be in this situation, huh?”
Michael shrugged, wincing once again,“He was being rude to you. I couldn’t let him get away with it [Name]” “I can take care of myself you know, Mikey,"You rolled your eyes.
"I know but you’re my best friend and I want to protect you all the time,” Michael told you. “You do always protect me Mikey,” You replied,“ But I don’t want you to if you’re going to get hurt”
“If I have to get hurt from protecting you than it’s worth it!” Michael declared and you smiled, wondering how this special kid was your best friend.
“Thanks Michael,” You kissed his cheek and he blushed slightly at the contact,“But really Michael, I’m not going to be cleaning up your cuts again!”
Calum: Age - 5
“Mam,” You cried, running over to your mother,“Calums’ being mean again!” “Dear, I’m sure Calum doesn’t mean it,” Your mother assures,“You know, when a boy likes a girl, they say mean things by accident”
“Well I don’t like Calum,” You stomped your foot,“ I hate him!” Just as you said that, Calum comes rushing over with hand picked flowers in his hand. "I’m sorry [Name],“ Calum frowns as you turn away from him,"I got you flowers to say sorry” “Well I don’t forgive you!” You told him.
“I won’t be mean again, I promise,” Calum begged, tears forming in his eyes as he thinks that you won’t be his friend again. Turning back slightly, you eye the flowers in his hands before taking them.
“Fine I forgive you,” You tell him and his frown immediately turns into a large grin. “Yay!” He cheers before grabbing your hand and running off to go play together.
Ashton: Age - 7
“I’m a better drawer than you!” You gloated, proudly showing your best friend the picture you drew of Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
“No you’re not,” Ashton shook his head. “Oh yeah? Show me yours then!” You told him, trying to take a peak at his drawing. “I’m not done yet!” Ashton shrieked, hiding his drawing for your view.
You pouted,“Hurry up then!” You waited patiently for a few minutes before Ashton told you he was done. “Show me show me!” You jumped up and down, excitedly.
Ashton gave you his paper and you looked to see a stick version of you and Ashton holding hands and the both of you have a ring on your hand.
“It’s us getting married,” Ashton gave you a grin,“I’m going to marry you when we’re older!” "What if I marry someone else?“ You ask him and he shakes his head. "No you won’t! I’m going to marry you and that’s a promise!”
Calum:
“Calum? Aren’t you supposed to be asleep? It’s like three in the morning there,” You tell him once you answer the phone. You stopped talking though when you heard quiet sobbing on the other line,“Cal..?” “I-I need y-you,” Calums’ voice cracks at the end before the sobbing grows louder. “I m-miss you. I miss you so much. I just want y-you to be in my arms and just to h-hold you,” He says inbetween sobs and your heart breaks and you just want to hold him. “I’m going to go buy a plane ticket, okay Calum? I’m going to come and see you. I miss you too,” You whisper to him,“I’ll see you soon so please don’t cry anymore, Calum. It’s breaking my heart”
Ashton:
Sobs echoed the hotel room as Ashton laid on the carpet, Calum rubbing his back. “Ash, you’ll be alright,” Calum tried to comfort him. After a huge fight you and Ashton had, you broke up. Right now you were occuypying another hotel while searching for a plane ticket back home. “I won’t be alright,” Ashton shook his head as he continued to sob,“I need her. I love her so much. I can’t live without her. I was so stupid and now she’s gone.” “If you love her so much then go fight for her. Tell her you want her back,” Calum tells him. “She’s never going to take me back,” Ashton cries.
Michael:
“Mikey, you home?” Luke called out before hearing a glass shatter upstairs. Hell, I still love her” “Then go get her, she still loves you,” Luke says. Michael shook his head,“ I can’t! I tried but she won’t answer me. I need her so badly. I don’t want her to leave my life”
Luke:
“Hello?” You answered into the phone. “[Name]!” Michaels’ voice was heard and before you could hang up, he continued,“ Before you hang up just listen first! Luke still loves you a lot. I know it’s been two weeks but he’s a mess and he won’t stop crying. He keeps saying that he loves you and he needs you. Please, [Name] can you please come over and talk to him. The boys and I are really worried about him and you’re the only who can fix him” You hear him take a deep before waiting for you to answer. You didn’t have to think about it, the two of you broke up because of a stupid fight but you still love him and you needed him as much as he needed you. “I’ll be there in a few minutes”
Luke:
“You can’t be,” Luke stared at you in disbelief,“I-I’m only seventeen! I can’t be a father!” He starts towards the door but you quickly grab his hand. “Luk-” “I’m sorry [Name], I’m not ready. I can’t,” He tells you before he shakes your hand off him and leaves. You just stand there in shock until you hear the door slam. It brings you back into reality and you realise Luke had left you and your unborn child. And he wasn’t coming back.
Michael:
“You’re not kidding, are you?” Michael eyes you, looking for anything that would tell him you were joking. You couldn’t be pregnant. The two of you were only teenagers, you didn’t know how to take care of a child. “I’m not,” You shook your head,“ And I’m keeping it, Michael. You can choose to stay or leave” The moment those words left your mouth, he was gone. You sighed as a single tear slid down your cheek, rubbing your stomach. “We’ll get through this together, I promise”
Calum:
“Cal, let me explain!” You told him as he continued to pack his things. A few weeks ago, you and Calum forgot to use protection but you didn’t think you were pregnant until a few days ago so you bought a pregnancy test and sure enough, you were pregnant. You were going to tell Calum but he had to use the bathroom and saw the pregnancy test, thinking you cheated on him. “We haven’t had sex in weeks [Name] so there’s nothing to explain,” He spits out before closing his suitcase. “Goodbye,” Was all you hear before a door slamming and you fell to your knees.
Ashton:
“I’m pregnant,” You told him and his eyes widened in shock. Just a week ago, Ashton had left for England and the night before, you two did the dirty as it would be awhile before you two would see each other again. But he forgot to use a condom and now you had to tell him you were pregnant over skype. “[Name], I’m sorry but I can’t handle a baby,” Ashton apologized before quickly signing off. You chuckled bitterly to yourself as tears fell down from your eyes. “And you think I can, Ashton?”
Luke: “You’re so beautiful, you know that?” He would say it every day. In the morning, at lunch, at dinner, before you go to bed, in texts, when you’re with your friends. Practically every chance he gets. He wants to make sure that you know you’re beautiful and that whatever people think of you is just total bullshit.
Ashton: “You’re so beautiful” Ashton would tell you when you least expect it. Whenever you’re down, he would say it. He would say it out of the blue. Whenever you ask him why he always says it at the most random times, he just laughs and kisses you, telling you that he was just making sure that you know it too.
Michael: “You’re so beautiful, [Name]. How can you not see it?” He asks you when he sees you staring at yourself through the mirror. Michael cannot believe that you don’t find yourself beautiful when he finds you the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen and possibly, the whole world.
Calum: “You’re so beautiful,” Calum would randomly say just out of the ordinary a lot. You two would be snuggling on the sofa watching some movie that you love and he would just gaze down at you wondering how he got you. You just look at him and give him that perfect smile of yours and he just falls even more in love with you if that were possible/.
Michael:
“So who’s single and who’s taken?” You ask, looking up at the boys. “Luke and I are taken while these two are enjoying the single life,” Ashton nods over at Calum and Michael. “But you’re welcome to change my relationship status anytime,” Michael winks at you before you start to blush bright red.
Luke:
“Mr.Hemmings, are you asking me out?” You bite your lip, trying to fight back a grin. “Maybe I am,” He grinned cheekily as the other boys watched in amusement,“What would you say if I was asking you out?” “I’d love to,” You told me and his smile got even wider, if that was possible.
Calum:
“Hey, do you believe in love at first sight or should I walk by again?” You hear a voice and looking up, you find the one and only Calum Hood standing in front of you. “I don’t,” You shook your head and you watched as he walked back and walked by you again. “How about now?” He asks and you let out a giggle. “I’m [Name]” “Calum”
Ashton:
“I’ve always wanted to play the drums,” You tell him,“It looks pretty hard” “I guess so but you get the hang of it pretty fast. How about I teach you sometime?” Ashton asked you. “Really now?” You ask him and he nods. “I’d love to” “Great, it’s a date then!”
